Being in The Flow is one of the most awesome feelings in life.
Ten years too late and still getting it wrong

Drilling a hole into a wall and having the raw plug go flush in and then the screw goes in tight without the raw plug moving and not having to fix it with filler and matchstick bodge / amateur hour shenanigans.

Parking a car on a road and having the right space from wheels to the kerb and between the cars front and back - and you walk off looking behind doing the full Partridge / back of the net thing....

Travelling into work and seeing someone with a dog on the train or the Tube.
So long as they don't start barking or have a piss (the dog that is).

Your singer looks as though, with 10 cans down him, might just start barking and lift his leg on a train, and I couldn't envisage anybody willing to challenge him  :)

These are a few of my favourite things.

When it rains gently and you see the raindrops on roses in the garden
Our friends' cat has just produced some littl'uns, lovely whiskers on those kittens
All the childhood memories when I see my mum's old bright copper kettles
In winter, keeping my fingers cosy in some warm woollen mittens

Those are a few of my favourite things

(not going to mention the cream coloured ponies or crisp apple strudels, or doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles    )

Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

The smell of rain on dry ground when it hasn't rained for a while during warm weather.  This was particularly noticeable when I was growing up in Africa.

The fresh smell of junipers from Gin and the sweet and mouthwatering anise(ed) smell of Ouzo/Raki/Pernod/Pastis/Sambuca.

It will no doubt please you even more to know that the word for this phenomenon is Petrichor, which is incredibly satisfying to say in itself.

To even more expand what a lovely word it is for a lovely scent, it comes from the Greek words Petra which means rock, and Ichor which is the blood of the gods.

Going straight to a self service checkout at Tescos in the 'trolley' section, when there's a big queue to use the 'basket' checkouts, and I'm only buying a couple of things.

A slightly malicious pleasure I got soon after arriving in the US was going into Starbucks and asking for a "small" American coffee! There was a moment of brief panic as the server attempted to compute the request: "You mean a 'tall'?" "That the smallest one ya got? Okay, I'll take it!"

I knew the name petrichor, but not the origin nor the meaning of the component words. Thank you!

Passing a turd with little or no wipe up needed. Either a big lump, or a yakult aided silky drop.
