There’s a book I had when I was a child. A small picture book about a man who lived in a city. It was congested and noisy and he couldn’t breathe, so he and a seagull left in a small boat and went to a peaceful empty little island. All was bliss. However soon enough he needed a port for provisions to be delivered, so he built one. Then he needed something else, etc etc, until it too became too noisy and congested for him.
It was written some time before, I dunno, 1978. It was a little book, hardback, with a picture of this man with a long nose, and his seagull.
PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THIS BLOODY BOOK WAS! Chat GPT is not helping.

Gulls I mean. Not the people of Brixham who, to be fair, are a mixed bag.
But I should know better coz viz is a musical genius so he would never ask that question. He would answer it! ;-)
