I don't understand how the police are so calmly holding this absolute fucking animal and don't have the bastard on the ground. Scum.

Oh for god sake, here we go again. Abdullah, 29, sounds like a bloody immigrant. How dare he stop an indigenous man from stabbing whoever he wants!

Perhaps they didn't feel the need to, or possibly had already done so already before the photograph was taken ?
Calm down... we don't know anything other than the most basic details, with very few facts.

at a guess, cos he was restrained and not resisting. Restraining people on the ground puts them at a far higher risk of respiratory and cardiac arrest as it compresses the chest and restricts breathing. I realise that may not satisfy your need for vengeance, but I suspect your desires fall quite a far way down the list of priorities.

I'm not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me.

I think it's called "due process". You might be grateful for it one day.

When my daughter was a copper, they dealt with riff raff by driving 'em to Rotherham and kicking 'em out of the motor.

"All crimes lead to Rotherham, eventually" was the GMP motto.

Surely the cruel part is leaving them there?

Not trying to show off of come across as a ''hard man'', though the number of stabbings we're seeing in the UK nowadays has me questioning if I should perhaps not use a Victorinox Classic SD Swiss Army Knife, as my key ring.  Granted it's perfectly legal to carry one, even if you are not using it as a key ring - it's not a locking blade it's not a fixed blade and the blade is less the 3'' long, I just can't shake this feeling that knife laws are only going to get stricter, if not the police will at least start coming down harder on people who like me use one as a key ring - I like to whittle and carve wood while I watch the dogs play and our horses have a run about, and confiscate - along with all my keys on it though not a house key my house doesn't require a key to unlock in fact there is no keyhole in my front or back door for a key, if for no other reason than to boost stats - make it look like they have taken one more weapon off the streets than they really have, I'm hardly going to go on a stabbing spree with a tiny knife that has both my name and phone number engraved on it.

^ Nah, SD's & variants are fine... unless you try to take a flight whilst carrying one, in which case it'll end up getting auctioned off as part of a job lot on eBay

As I said over in P&E... a Briton to be proud of in Abdullah...

So much so that fake accounts are already trying to discredit him on social media...

There are powerful, dangerous vested interests who do not want the general public seeing heroic behaviour from a brown-skinned man...

It's a lot more sinister than a lack of basic decency.

It's only an issue if you try to take one on the plane with you - either in your hand luggage or on your person, I've had no issues when I put it in luggage that is being checked in.  They actually make quite a few variants of the Classic SD without a blade - which is useless for whittling or carving wood, for people who travel a lot - my favourite is the version that has a thumb drive.

I just have this feeling that knife laws will either become stricter, and/or police will get stricter and just confiscate every knife they come across in public, legal to carry or not.

^ I meant among ordinary people reading such news, not the behind the scenes players, but I accept that I'm definitely a silly old sod living in a bygone age, but I'm still reluctant to get down & wrestle that particular pig in the shit...

I thought his interview was quite funny, very British, as in understated, ''I was just doing my job'' I believe he said.
