Not trying to show off of come across as a ''hard man'', though the number of stabbings we're seeing in the UK nowadays has me questioning if I should perhaps not use a Victorinox Classic SD Swiss Army Knife, as my key ring.  Granted it's perfectly legal to carry one, even if you are not using it as a key ring - it's not a locking blade it's not a fixed blade and the blade is less the 3'' long, I just can't shake this feeling that knife laws are only going to get stricter, if not the police will at least start coming down harder on people who like me use one as a key ring - I like to whittle and carve wood while I watch the dogs play and our horses have a run about, and confiscate - along with all my keys on it though not a house key my house doesn't require a key to unlock in fact there is no keyhole in my front or back door for a key, if for no other reason than to boost stats - make it look like they have taken one more weapon off the streets than they really have, I'm hardly going to go on a stabbing spree with a tiny knife that has both my name and phone number engraved on it.
No one would ever have the key to my back door mate.

Because you prefer it to be smashed in by a 'hard man'? Not-so-passionate-pete.

In a world where negativity is amplified, it's important to remember that most people are good.  Well done Abdullah!

My guess is that he's still shitting himself after last week, so is lying low.  I'm assuming that the frog-faced grifter will be doing the same.

Would it hurt to use a full-stop occasionally, old bean? ;) I nearly mentally-asphyxiated reading that sentence.

I actually misread it and wondered why you'd not have a keyhole in order to boost stats

...there is no keyhole in my front or back door for a key, if for no other reason than to boost stats...

Why would anyone think you're a hard man?

Thing about carrying knifes is, OK you like to whittle wood while walking with your dogs and horses, but I'm guessing you don't do that in busy public areas?

Like, say you're going into town for a drink with a mate on a Saturday night, are you going to be doing much whittling?

It largely comes down to having a good reason for carrying it.

Isn't that enshrined in law? I was out the other day, when I got in realised I had a Stanley knife in my pocket. Thing is, I'd been doing DIY. I'd been out to Screwfix to buy some bits, dressed in mastic and paint-covered scruffs. I don't think I'd have had too much of a hard time if for some reason I'd been stopped and searched (possession of the wrong 15mm copper compression elbow with intent to supply, maybe?).

Roll up to a third div football match with a Stanley in your pocket and I think the view taken might be slightly more dim.

Farage will probably be along at some point today now that the police have released the foreign-sounding name of the homeless man being charged.

Steven Waxy-Lemon probably won't be interested unless he can find some way to make out he's a Muslim.

Probably because giving someone a dig results in a well-deserved suspension and leniency for the alleged criminal.

The guy has been caught literally red handed stabbing a child.  Personally I'd give the Police, and anyone else in the vicinity for that matter, carte blanche to knock the living shit out the guy.

What about if someone said "He's just stabbed a child!!" but you didn't actually see it....   Would you dive in to 'kick the living shit out of the guy' ?

No, but if I saw it I'd struggle.

Ok in the interest of pedantry change 'in the vicinity' to 'who saw it happening'.
