Overland Express usually but is not cheap and you will not find a "Cheap" insurance, Secursus it's on the reasonable side but I have never claimed anything with them.

Whatever you choose document everything, take photos of the packaging process or make a video.

I always use overland with the discount code linked above, have posted Suhrs and Fenders and Prses and never had any issues, guitars always turned up fine. That does mean I can’t speak to the claims process but others have given positive reports.

I haven’t used lenspeed yet but always keep it in mind if I see a ‘collection only’ guitar that I fancy.

Transglobal express seem good, they have their own insurance, and their own collection vans, then deliver via the major players

Had a note from Lenspeed the other day to say they have more staff now so their service, which was great, might be even quicker now.

    Lenspeed every time.

Wasn't there a post not so long ago about Overland Express not paying up on a private sale when there was an issue?

I used Parcelforce and to ship an instrument with a value of £900 cost me about £50. I was impressed with the tracking etc.
      Good luck.

Never pay Parcelforce for any extra insurance because they won’t cover you (yet they will happily take your money). Musical instruments are specifically excluded from any enhanced compensation.

Shit me. I didn’t know this. I’ve used Parcelforce insured for literally every guitar and amp I’ve sold and I always use the insured option. Bastards. Or more fool me, more accurately.

I will look elsewhere going forward.

    Thanks.

Be careful if you’re thinking of using Secursus for insurance.
