Watched it a few days ago and despite having been a big fan in the past and knowing alot about her it was still quite interesting to hear her early history told like that. It was eye opening hearing about her struggles with aging.

Beato is mainly a fan of Little Earthquakes but everything up to & including Scarlet's Walk is brilliant so I wish he were more open minded in his fandom. I love the power trio days too and it's peak is the Venus/Live album & Scarlet's Walk, check out Sweet Sangria's sick drum and bass groove for example.

Downsides would be that we didnt hear much playing, I'd have enjoyed hearing thoughts on arrangement, chords etc and played.

Amazing artist and I particularly liked her view on how she viewed songs, as a mother to her own but respectful in the way she lets another artists songs guide her interpretation ... the song is an entity in itself.

Rick has been doing some great interviews in the last 2 years and this one is right up there

Been a big fan since the start although I stopped following her after Scarlets Walk as the albums got less consistently good (ignoring the Strange Little Girls collection of covers which was abysmal!).

So talented and unique, simply one of the best musicians. Shame about all the surgery, she looks nothing like herself these days.

Here’s a great compilation of all her live performances through the years on the Letterman Show… most are stunning.

This is how she stays in my head.
Nothing new from her in 22 years, she went out on top.

Technically they were out in a converted barn, so she still would have had to come there

Any post I make to do with him can be disregarded really because I’ve just got an irrational dislike for the guy.

He's not one of my favourites, so my viewing depends on the content.

I used to really love a few of her albums, and I think she is an incredible singer/pianist, but sadly I can't take her seriously after Bob's Burgers had a character loosely based on her.

All I can hear when I hear Tori Amos now is 'Oil Spill'

If there was one artiste whom I expected to grow old disgracefully, it was Tori Amos.

My last two Amos album purchases were the Christmas one and Night Of Hunters. I listened through each of these only once. By comparison, Little Earthquakes continues to receive regular playing. Even the remixes in the "A Piano" boxed set are fine by me.

Same, but are we surprised that she's a complex and contradictory person? Haha.

She had an amazing run. 6 & half incredible albums from 1992 to 2002.
