Looks like you have a nice burst style top ready to appear from those ledges

Thanks Wez.   Its flitch matched rather than bookmatched as my rough sawn maple wasnt quite thick enough to do a bookmatch.  Still its a pretty nice set of figure.  Will be good to see the top emerge

Looking forward to this, didn't realise there were 2 angles involved though?

Hi Andy - yes there are 2 separate angles involved.  Theres a c.4 degree angle where the neck meets the body and the fretboard from the 16th fret to the end of the fingerboard sits flush with the body, and then a shallower angle of 1 to 1.5 degrees between the end of the fingerboard and the bridge which is the pickup plane

This is the way it was done on traditional Les Pauls.

The neck angle is the critical one - the pickup plane less
    so

Cool, didn't know about the pickup plane angle, I had heard it was flat though.
Is his going to be a full on replica?

Yes - 59 replica including Urea and hide glues - apart from
the headstock shape - though I can do a gibson style as a custom order. ( no logo though !! ).
