Will a PT3 fit in a PT2 Hardcase?

I have a hardcased PT2, but I'd like to upgrade to a PT3. 

It's much cheaper to buy the soft cased PT3 and I'm assuming as the PT2 and PT3 are the same width and the hardcase has quite a bit of additional depth available that it will be possible to fit it in the PT2s hard case.

Anyone know if this is correct?

Post 5 in that thread says no with pedals, though I've never tried it for myself.

Hmm and post 11 says it does!  But it depends on what pedals.  Less helpful than I'd hoped, sorry!

No that's perfect. 

Strymons up on a riser on the back row don't quite fit so that to me says most arrangements will fit unless you have something silly on there.

I'm thinking I need a PT3 in place of my PT2. Bit of a shitter about the hard case not fitting though.

You're so right. Huge savings. I just bought a pedaltrain mini off ebay which was virtually brand new but luckily got it for £50 delivered. Thomann would have sold one to me for around £54 delivered. Phew

I do unfortunately. Either that or I knock my other pedal settings with my clumpy boots.

I think someone suggested you could get it to work by trimming the foam.

I was planning to sell the PT2 in the softcase, but I can split.

I was going to say Thomann do the PT3 with no case but it's only £2 cheaper than buying it with the soft case :o3

Yeah that's why I was going to buy the softcase version as it then gives me something to put my PT2 in when I sell it.

Well I'll be buying a PT3 softcase and then selling the PT2 in the PT3 softcase.
