I get that terms like ‘game changer’ get thrown around a lot, especially by YouTubers. But I don’t subscribe to the idea that this means we can’t still use them meaningfully when discussing gear that genuinely stands out.
In the case of the new Paint Audio product, I was asking whether it could be a game changer because it’s doing something very different that could have a big impact on many musicians’ gigs. I think it has the potential to change the way I approach things live, but I’m really interested to hear what others think and how they might implement it.
This is a great place to discuss new tools and ideas openly and in good faith, without obsessing over the semantics of how certain words are used elsewhere.
I understand your perspective, but I don’t agree using descriptive, colloquial terminology in a post title constitutes ‘unnecessary clickbait’. The Daily Mail comparison also comes across as ad hominem and doesn't contribute constructively to the conversation.
I don’t think we’re advancing the discussion here, but I invite you to either engage with the substance of my posts or ignore them. Otherwise, let’s focus on good faith, substantive discussions and avoid debating which words are acceptable.

As you say, this is a good forum - made that way by a combination of the people who post on it and the information and insights that produces.
Other article sites used to be good. YouTube used to be less awful. Both alienate a large part of their (previous) users with a slide in to templated, hyperbolic, misleading, clickbaity (take your pick from a combination of any or all) content.
There are whole websites on topics that genuinely interest me (F1, Rugby, news) that I straight up no longer go to or click on headlines for.
Personally, as a result my defences are on high alert - I don’t want that slide here. I don’t think I’m alone.

You've had feedback that these posts are a bit off and you're tone deaf.
Mostly on the ads for years then suddenly a few posts that look like influencer bait. Are you being paid or otherwise compensated for these?
