Yeah shipping is free anyway because chasebliss.eu serves us in the UK again, and we are still VAT liable unfortunately. The free shipping and tax paid is for all the countries that have to buy from chasebliss.com but aren't the USA.

It's an interesting gamble - I already have a LOT of chase bliss pedals so odds are I'd get a double, and would have to sell it, but unless it's a dark world or gravitas I'd probably be able to get what I paid for it, with the chance that it might be something I don't already have.... hmmmm. and no condor for us! edIt: just saw the video you posted, I guess the chances just improved that it isn't a "cheapie"

or I could just buy an onward at 15% off which is kinda what I was gonna do anyway this year.
So with VAT, that would work out at roughly £300 at current exchange rates, is that right?
Yes, except they are paying the VAT currently.

so the sticker price is the final price.

No the €299 includes the VAT (but you are paying it) so net is just over £260 today.

    Just got this email.

Glad I placed an order early…however, I do have 1 question.

the golden pins, the 5 golden pins.  Since these boxes are not limited, so they are not all made already. Meaning that not all the pins are in there.  As if all 5 pins are already in the batch that goes out next week, it won’t be fair for those who get shipped in January.

i wonder how do they make that random….if they are purposely holding back a pin for the 2nd batch? And is it 3 pins US warehouse and 2 pins for EU warehouse!

    hmmmmm

    Anyway, email below.

    ————————————-

We’re very happy, but we’re also a small company with a small shipping team. So we just had a meeting with our entire staff to figure out how to meet the demand for this. We want everyone possible to be able to get a mystery box, but we also don’t want huge delays for shipping.

So this is where we landed:

Mystery boxes are still available, but we’re going to have to start adjusting our shipping estimates going forward.

    • It’s looking pretty likely that orders placed after this moment will ship after Jan 1.

    • Our hope is to ship all orders that have already been placed within December, but with no guarantees. We’ll do our best! Mystery boxes will ship in the order payment was received.

    • Regardless of when your order ships, all mystery box items will be evenly distributed – nobody has to worry about missing out on a golden pin, for example.

Same with how the extras are all meant to be evenly distributed across all the batches.

Reality is, I think Joel and bunch of his mates have overstocked on a bunch of pedals, there’s going to be a lot of one or two pedals going out to people.

There is a video on instagram which I just watched.  It seems they are not picking and packing orders until the window closes.  Then using software to assign all entries with its pedals and content before it is packed.

Or at least that's what they say... ;)

It seems crazy to me they are not packing orders until then, let them piled up….that seems like a lot of time wasted? Like all the staff that could be working on these orders right now.

And are they boxing the EU orders with EU stock or are they all doing in the US which seems even more insane.

No idea, also, Japan is also in this too and Japan has the only CBA dealer…who are also in this as well.  I presume the Japanese will get pedals from the stock of the Japan dealer.

i guess their magic software will assign items to all entries on the day and generate the order ticket for the whole world…tailored to the stock from each region?

This seems very complicated. Rather than just make them up already. All lined up on the shelf in a warehouse.  Then randomly slap on an address label as the order comes in.  But this does limit their potential to generate profits, whereas this doesn’t have a ceiling.

Pretty much, it's a free entry to a lottery basically.

Although I have no idea how much return shipping cost...if it's similar price to items under 2kg to Morocco then it'll be around £25.

Was thinking the same. Maybe we can set up a thread (or use this one) just for that.
