Get an HP with RPN (Reverse Polish Notation). All RPN calculators work the same irrespective of manufacturer. I hate picking up a calculator and having to work out what perverse logic they use to enter calculations without having to do a few test calcs to start with first. Once you get used to RPN you'll not bother with anything else.

Obviously it depends on your needs, but would the iPhone’s scientific calculator suffice? That’s assuming you have an iPhone.

I still have a graphic one from the early 90’s - still love it.

I have a great one from my university days - it got me through my physics degree(s) as it had all the useful physical constants at the touch of a shift key. The gravitational contant, speed of light, Plank’s constant, elementary charge, electron mass, vacuum electric permittivity etc. I have no need to use these values in calculations now, but I can’t get rid of it.

No, the former is a well-regarded Texas Instruments scientific calculator, the latter is a much lower grade unit.

I've bought a couple of Casio fx-115MS from ebay secondhand for about a fiver. Use them every day for calculations in my job.
