And just checking, has the studio been booked?

    It's not a competition.

Only 2 weeks to go. Is it worth having a role call @Brocco to double check who's available?

Let's do that. I will definitely be there and know that Norm will be too

As we are now very close to the jam, thought a brief summary on where we are with the 26 tracks that have been suggested might be useful (all detailed in the spreadsheet prepared by @stratman3142):

17 tracks have all roles covered, but don't be put off if you are not yet down to play on any of these (in blue on the spreadsheet), as we can perform tracks more than once to satisfy demand.

3 tracks require only one more role to be filled (lead guitar for I Love Rock n' Roll & Rebel Yell, and vocals for Keep Your Hands To Yourself).

The remaining tracks (Is She Really Going Out With Him, Just What I Needed, La Grange, Richard III, Roxanne & Walking On The Moon) all have two or more roles unfilled.

What kit is everyone planning on bringing?  I'll have my Les Paul, Matchless and pedalboard with this new toy that I am looking forward to trying out!

I think we owe @roberty some money as the booking has been confirmed. It might be a bit more than usual as there aren't many of us. I don't mind paying a bit more, so PM me if anyone is feeling a bit strapped and you want me to cover your contribution. My state pension is about to go up

Anyway I'll probably be bringing the following:

    Guitar Amps
    Quilter Aviator US Combo
    Roland Blues Cube Hot Combo

    Bass Amp
    Mark Bass CMD 121P IV

    Guitars
Ibanez AZ2402, I would have been bringing my AZ2204 but I've dropped it again, and cracked the neck again, so it's in for repair
    PRS S2 Custom 24

    Bass
Squier Classic Vibe 60s Jazz Bass

    FX
    Helix LT
Wampler Gearbox ( Andy Wood Signature) pedal
    Maxon OD9

    It's not a competition.

Since @stratman3142 has got the bass amp requirements covered, I'll just bring a couple of basses - a Ric and a cheapy fretless.
And I'm happy to pay whatever is my fair share of the cost.

You could bring your bass amp if you'd prefer, but I'm happy that you use mine.

If you're happy to bring yours, I'd prefer that - it'd good to experience a Markbass combo in a full band setting - my only previous experience was a quick try-out in a shop years ago.

Hi, having checked with @Brocco, I propose the following, but please shout if you disagree or can suggest otherwise.

There's only a week to go, so I think we're going to have to drop songs that don't have a singer or a drummer.

So proposed songs to drop are:
Is She Going Out With Him
    Richard III
    Just What I Needed
    Keep Your Hands To Yourself
    La Grange
    Roxanne
    Walking On The Moon

We still need to hear from @roberty , @SPECTRUM001@Vibetronic , @bobblehat ;; which affects some other songs.

I'm happy to play guitar or bass on a few other songs if necessary. I'm also happy to not play on songs I'm down for, if anyone wants to jump in. So maybe we can shuffle things around.

Of the remaining songs. Here are a few thoughts. Let me kow if I've missed anything or if you have any comments.

Get Back : We need confirmation from @roberty as he's down for drums on that one

Gold On The Ceiling : We need confirmation from @roberty for 1st guitar.

Hanging Around : Needs confirmation from @roberty on vocals

Hard To Handle : We need confirmation from @roberty for 1st guitar. I could cover 1st guitar if someone else can do bass.

I Love Rock And Roll : I could cover the guitar, unless anybody else wants to do it.

Rebel Yell : I could do "a simplified version of" 1st guitar on that one (bit of a blag) if someone could do bass instead of me.

Rocks : We need confirmation from @roberty for 1st guitar. I could cover 1st guitar if someone else could cover bass

The Boys Are Back In Town : We need confirmation from @roberty for bass. I could cover bass if necessasy

    It's not a competition.

Norm has mentioned to me that he could give vocals a try on Is She Really, Roxanne and Walking On The Moon (although the Police tracks may be a challenge range wise). We would need drum tracks though, as @mrkb is at capacity. @spark240 should be noted as 1st guitar on both Police tracks as he proposed them.

Like @stratman3142, I am happy to be flexible to ensure everyone gets to fully participate, so can stand down from tracks I am currently down to play on and/or play rhythm on tracks where there are gaps if that makes sense for the group overall.

Hi @roberty, wondering if you would be up for vocals on any of these tracks (especially Just What I Needed, Keep Your Hands To Yourself & La Grange as we have a drummer for these three) which are slated to be dropped:

Is She Really Going Out With Him
    Just What I Needed
    Keep Your Hands To Yourself
    La Grange
    Roxanne
    Walking On The Moon
