Potentially yours, a stunning Atkin Dustbowl Parlour Custom boasting beautifully figured solid Tasmanian Blackwood, which looks very much like Koa.

Despite its compact size, it does not have the thin boxy sound of a typical parlour; it is has a warmer woody vintage tone.

The slim pronounced V-shaped neck feels great under the palm and those with smaller hands will find it super-comfy. The original owner took off the nitro and then sealed it with Tru-Oil. So it is slick and less ‘glossy’ looking than the body. I love it!

There’s really nice figuring on the bridge and the fingerboard but everything else is understated, including the simple rosette.

This is very much an armchair/sofa/bedside songwriter’s guitar. I’ve written many songs in the couple of years that I’ve been blessed to own it. 

Note - this is an ‘aged’ guitar. As such, it has lacquer cracking all over the body - not on the neck. There are also a few small factory added  dings. So you’re not getting a pristine new-looking guitar. This looks, feels and sounds like a decades-old instrument.

I’ve had it out of its case more than any acoustic I’ve ever owned, it’s that much fun. But I have the opportunity to buy back a guitar that I should never have let go.

@kmajor possibly a Santa Cruz 000 from 2009 all-Koa. The Koa is now over 100 years old.

It'll be a wee bit more expensive than the Atkin parlour!
