1974 non master volume silverface Fender Pro Reverb | fully serviced/restored | divine | £1399
Here is a wonderful classic silverface Fender Pro Reverb from 1974, non-master volume and putting out 40 fabulous watts; £1399 collected from central London, although I'll drive up to 100 miles to make a deal work.

Fender changed the circuitry in the Pro Reverb in the years following 1975, and it is increasingly hard to find a really good non-master volume model, especially a proper export model with the voltage change.

The Pro Reverb gives that big Fender sound you associate with classic 2x12" silverface amps, but above 4/5 on the dial breaks up very progressively to give a lovely warm overdrive. At home equally with single coils and humbuckers.
https://i.imgur.com/6a8TiMC.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/tHC5v6s.jpgAs the photos show, this doesn't exactly look as if it's emerged new from the Fender Soundhouse in London's Tottenham Court Road in the mid 1970s - and I'm not pretending it's pretty, but it is honest, and sounds fabuloso. The pine cabinet is of course original, but the amp was regularly gigged prior to its full restoration, and although the tolex is patched, none of it is loose. I decided to leave it this way, although if the buyer wants some spare tolex, I can provide sufficient to recover the whole amp.
Asking £1399 for an incredible slice of Fender amp history; please consider the value of this totally hand wired, tonally soulful amp compared to the huge sums of money boutique amps regularly command. The Pro is something of a sleeper in the silverface range - but prices are increasing rapidly...
