Recommendations for small lightweight PA please

fretfinderfretfinder Frets: 5475
As per title, I’m interested in getting a small lightweight PA, grab and go type of thing, mainly for two acoustic guitars and two mics although six inputs would be useful for the extra musician and/or singer from time to time. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • Depending on size of gig I would recommend either HK Lucas Nano or a pair of Bose Si pros

Thanks for the comment. I wasn’t looking to spend that kind of money to be honest, more like around £500 or less, eg Behringer, Yamaha, Laney, Fender compact systems. I’m sure they won’t be as good as what you’ve recommended but will probably do for what I have in mind - small venues with fewer than 50 people most likely.

I’ve had great results with a Yamaha Stagepas 600 BT.

Bit late to this - but you may be able to find a used RCF Evox JMix8 for ~£500.  I've got one with the mixer, one without so I can use them as a stereo pair.   They sound good - the downside is that the crossover is at 220Hz. I'd prefer it a bit lower at around 150Hz, but I've had no complaints on the sound with it in the bands or for solo gigs.
