My daughter is taking me to the illegal eagles in Brighton as I believe there are as many originals as in the Eagles now.

    Nothing else so far.

Saw Dirty Loops in London on Friday night, and they were absolutely spectacular. Even after seeing the likes of Dream Theater and Polyphia in recent times, these guys were just up a level. Loved it. And they were good enough to hang out by the merch stand after the show signing, chatting and taking photos until the place cleared out. Lovely people and musicianship of the highest standard.

Public Service Broadcasting were absolutely immense last night. Incredible stage set, great energy, setlist spot on and just all round one of the best gigs I've been to in years, if not in decades.

A couple of gigs that have already happened.

IDLES at Rock City in Nottingham. Absolutely packed out, great gig and also my sons friends first gig. Full on performance, played about a 2hr set and got to hear all the songs I wanted.

Another Rock City giga few weeks ago. Canadian band called Cleopatrick who my son got me into supported by a UK band called Projector. Another great night

On the horizon is Deftones and Weezer at Crystal Palace in June. Can't wait
    Nobody is guaranteed tomorrow.....

  • Just bought tickets for Fantastic Negrito in Newcastle in August. One of the most enjoyable live shows I've seen, but had to travel all the way to London to see him last time. Chuffed that he's playing up in the North East for the first time, so no trains and hotels to fork out for!

Moved away Dublin a few years ago and it’s seen the number of gigs I attended plummet! Have tickets for a good few things this year though.

Twenty One Pilots (with the kids) in May
Macklemore (with the kids) in June
    Nine Inch Nails in June
    Gang of Four in June
    Melvins in August
    The Wedding Present in September
    My Bloody Valentine in November
    Hotline TNT in December

    Noise, randomness, ballistic uncertainty.

Harem Scarem - a terrific Canadian melodic rock who should've been bigger! Their guitarist, Pete Lesperance, is quite something as he has the chops and pump of Nuno, but he's more melodic.
