Looking to start or join heavy post rock/post metal writing/recording project

I'm a drummer in my late-thirties, also play guitar and bass and am experienced with home as well as studio recording. Been around the block band-wise since my mid teens and now entering my grumpy years. I'm based in Notts but don't see why this project can't be open to midlands people in general, as it only needs to be an every so often type thing.

Looking for like-minded introverted but experienced musicians (bass, 2-3 guitarists, maybe electronics, maybe vocals) to put together a project with an emphasis on writing and recording in a rehearsal room setting, basically for the love of playing good, intense music together without the aggro of gigging. 

Style-wise, aiming for something heavy post rock/post-metal, maybe with some doom/black metal/blackgaze leanings. Powerfully heavy but atmospheric and beautiful, you know the sort.

This sounds like my kind of stuff (it sounds like you're into Amenra, Oathbreaker etc right?). Even though I seem to listen to black metal/blackgaze/atmoblack mainly I can't play metal for love nor money.  Also, I'm on the other side of the country.

If you do ever record/write some stuff, post it up here.  The more incomprehensible your band logo, the more likely I'd be buy your band's t-shirt...
