I noticed the weather apps were showing 92% humidity around London (not that I know if thats high for this time of year or not tbh), and I noticed my high e action was lower than normal, slightly, at just below 1.50mm on one of the Gibson electrics.

Usually sits slightly above that and the bridge hasnt moved!

I tweaked the truss rod, tightening it, probably totalled half a turn or so, a few weeks ago, as its a new guitar to me and the relief could come down a bit so I straightened the neck a bit. Took two adjustments over a couple of days, but seemed to eventually settle.

I didnt have time to measure the relief today, but I'm guessing its moved, maybe again, straightening itself some more over the last day or so.

The only easy day, was yesterday...

That’s how they get you. RH will be a lot lower in your heated home than the advertised outdoor number tbf. My guitar room dropped from 50% to 30% for a few weeks this winter, had a do a full turn of one truss rod

My 71 Strat reissue neck has needed a lot of adjustment this last fortnight. It’s settled down now. But I’m in the East Midlands.

I very very rarely touch my truss rod. In fact, some of the guitars I’ve owned, I’ve never adjusted them at all. Literally never.
I don’t have issues with them getting buzzy or the action fluctuating. As in, the guitars always seem fine.

Here’s a York datapoint. Been away for the past week. When I came back I practiced with the Strat and the Double Jet for a while, tuning was sharp on all strings and the Gretsch even had a buzz on the high E.
My opinions in context: I rarely gig and don't play guitar for a living. I record my own music for a non-profit org's research and education videos. I have modified or built most of my equipment and I owe a big debt of gratitude to many people on this forum (you know who you are!).

92% humidity isn't unusual at any time of year. It will be lower in the house though with smaller, slower swings. Also it takes wood quite a time to absorb or release moisture from the air. Even more if the wood is varnished or painted.

Apart from having to tweak the tuning I can't say ever noticed any other effect on any of my guitars. I've never re-measured the string height but I don't feel any noticeable change so it's not something I'm going to worry about.
One day I'm going to make a guitar out of butter to experience just how well it actually plays.

No but the soundboard of a twelve-string acoustic guitar that I was asked to restring has buckled something rotten. TBH, the neck is the only part of the guitar that has not shifted perceptibly.

It's still within tolerance for me before I turn on the dehumidifier.

I'm in East Mids too, hygrometer in my. Office has been between 50 and 60 the last few days. I can normally temper it by opening or closing the door or window but nothings bringing it down at the moment.
That said I haven't noticed any movement in the guitars yet.

The neck on my main guitar has started its seasonal move, but not by far enough to merit adjustment.

Aye, tbh I only noticed it because I've been keeping tabs on the neck as it seemed to initially react to a truss rod tweak a month ago to straighten the neck, then it bowed again and needed an equal amount of adjustment as the first attempt to re straighten, but then it settled.

Now its straightening on its own the action has lowered by 0.5mm almost, I hope because of the weather changing rather than it having a mind of its own.

Had I not been keeping tabs on it, would I have noticed? Nope.

If it continues to move though no doubt i will encounter dead notes or buzzing and I'll have put some relief back in.

Mm high e was making odd sounds today when fretted, especially around the 5th fret, and the action was measuring around 1.25ish on the same string. Changed strings and still the same. So I had to make adjustments.

    Neck must still be moving...

Neck relief was measuring around 0.07 I think, so put a little turn on the truss rod to loosen it and its brought things back to basically where I had it set one month ago when I had to tighten it, including the string height which I didnt need to touch. The neck adjustment brought that back to around 1.5mm and everything now sounds ok

I begin to worry that the neck isnt very stable though for whatever reason. Hoping its just the weather, or its taken a few weeks to fully adjust itself from the last adjustment.

Come to think of it, when it arrived, it had a lot of condensation on it, even inside its box and case..

Truss rod nut looks ok though I think.

I did get a weird  electric crackling on abrand new Baja .In the end I dried the pickguard area  with a hot air gun gently ..problem solved .the guitar came from a coastal dealer on the sea front and I assume sea mist  condensation caused it .Ne ver had truss rod issues but as I live in very moderatly weathered rural Norfolk it wouldnt dare

I rarely adjust the truss rod and when I do it is normally because I've bought a used guitar and someone else has been fiddling with the truss rod.
