I have a Squier Standard I am working on.
I don't want to spend much ... it'll be a back-up or a sell-on job depending on how it turns out.
I have half a mind to replacing the pups and pots.
The neck you have is pickguard mounted.
Mine is body mounted.
Would that work if I bought a suitable pickguard?
How does solderless work?
Are telecaster control plates a standard size between Fender / Squier?
Yeh the neck pup is pick guard mounted, providing you buy/have a pick guard that is also the same it will work fine. You could also mount it direct to the body if you get some screws with the same thread as the existing screws?
Control plates as far as I'm aware are standard, I may have a spare kicking about, if I can find it I'll chuck it in for nothing.
Solderless, small clips on the back of the vol pot that hold the wires securely. Really quick and easy.
