    Is the gate switchable per preset?
    Where does it Sit in the internal signal chain.

    An IRX keeps looking more appealing

    The blurb says:
    "Dual MIDI programmable noise gate at send with 4 programmable levels per channel"

    Thanks all. Will update the editor tonight.

    A noise gate? Really. That's hopefully a relief because I was playing last night and channel one was dying off on long notes like there was a noise gate in the chain. I couldn't understand why that would have happened. I wonder if the firmware updated when I was changing IRs. Here's hoping that's the case and I can fix it before tonight's rehearsal

    It's easy to turn off when the editor is updated. You can set it to just stop hiss so it doesn'f cut off notes, you just have it on the first setting.

    Thanks @supes ;

    I really hope that's what's happened and it surely must be. Something to cut out hiss on channel 2 would be ideal, especially if it means I can remove the NS2 and the the extra wiring from my board but I don't need it on channel one

    I think this update has been a bit of a mess…looks like you get your firmware auto-updated even if you’re still using the old editor. It didn’t help that the download link for the editor wasn’t updated immediately on go-live ;-/

    I'm just glad I popped onto the forum today. I had planned a trip to Guitar Guitar tomorrow because my until wasn't working properly. That could have been quite embarrassing.

    Then again I might not let The Wife know, pop down anyway, mess around and tell her that they replaced the flux capacitor....

    That’s what happened with mine.
    Firmware updated on its own and added the noise gate when I was switching IR’s.  Switching the unit on/off without saving turned the gate back off

    I also thought initially the unit had developed a fault and literally thought weird, it’s behaving as a noise gate. That’s when the light bulb went off.

    What are you guys using for reverb? Pedal in the loop?

    Yeah I have the rather cheap but good enough for me TC skysurfer in the loop with a TC the prophet for my simple delay needs.
    Both pedals are like £35 new but cover my needs well.

    Yeah. I use a Nux Atlantic in the loop as 1. I only use a tiny bit of reverb most of the time and 2. It has two outputs and the reverb is mono so I can run one output into the IR-J into the PA and the other into an EQ pedal then amp FX return and cab
