Any fans? I've just introduced an Oratory EQ curve into my headphone listening environment and it sounds pretty good.

The SPL level on the left has no DB reference so for all we know you're boosting 0.5 or 5db! 

Personally, if I'd add a "smile eq" it totally depends on the speakers. Madness to just bang it on anything.

For example, my last hifi speakers from KEF had a really hot midrange so I'd personally do a wide 3db cut around 1khz and boost 80hz a touch

On my current ATM SCM11s I'd actually slightly boost that same frequency which I'd cut on the KEF as well as a touch of 5khz

The image I posted is an idealised curve. You can find individual headphone settings here. You'd probably need a measurement mic to find the values for various speakers in a room if you want more precise settings.

You may be overthinking this. A parametric EQ is all you need, no gold speaker cables are required!

I tried the latest Virtuoso plugin update and it works great with headphone EQ. I'd say the out of head sound is quite convincing after you dial it in.

What headphones are you using that need a 5dB boost at 1.5kHz? I think I'd just get some better headphones tbh.

If you can correct, why not. Consumer headphone frequency charts are usually a bin fire, even posh ones
