Probably just as well as im skint after splurging on the Hydrasynth. Now just the Behringer Pro-800 to resist...
Was thinking they'd start getting a few B stock units in as some are returned. They had one and sold it for £269, so not as good as the original saving.
Pro-800 still £249 though! I mean, an 8-voice analog polysynth for the price of an upmarket overdrive pedal. What times we live in!
I think if you have a Hydra you probably don't need the Pro X unless you want to set up a DAWless jamming rig in which case you also need to get a drum machine!
Circuit tracks is brilliant although a bit annoying for continuing on a DAW as it doesn't have stem export.
This video is a great list of beginner wallet friendly gear:
I'm only just scratching the surface of the Hydrasynth and I should just concentrate on that.
I guess that the appeal of something else (as well) is the instant analog sound. It's there in the Hydra but takes a bit of coaxing out. As I said, my fruit fly attention span is now looking at the Behringer Poly-800 for a Sequential-like poly for the price of the Uno X. Again, the sounds are probably all in the Hydra if I can learn to program it properly.
Not really interested in the DAWless thing either so I really have no excuse. I might, however, get interested if I can turn my room into some kind of Tangerine Dream studio circa-1974 (or 1982) tribute zone.
Thanks for the reality check.
The Behringer Deepmind 6 & 12 are pretty awesome . I did have a reface DX but didn’t fall in love with it as I’ve got Dexed already & some super stacked DX sounds from a plugin called DX dreams .
