Bought by a giant Chinese Co I hear? The previous new owners kept up the excellent after sales service I wonder if that will continue?

Dave.

I absolutely hope so. There are fewer and fewer amp techs around.

I believe it may have been bought out by Chapman Gitaarversterkers Europese Divisie.

I’m planning to send my 80’s Jubilee in for a service at Marshall.

If anyone has recent experience, would you recommend?

Jim will be turning in his grave.

At least it will have a DAB radio and a fridge though.

To me Marshall haven't been an option for years when considering a new amp. They just haven''t kept up with the market when it comes to new products. I guess the designers that left to form Blackstar marked the end of the brands creativity as a serious contender. Their products either seem to aim at the home/occasional jam night player or they're flogging past glories.

The recent modified series tell us that they aren't capable of developing any serious new products. Maybe they just can't afford the R&D or have their hands ties by their owners who see them purely as a heritage brand?

@barrettisgold ;They serviced and did a filter can cap change on my Bluesbreaker just over a year ago, so not that recent. Cost about £60, including courier both ways. Highly recommended

They had my DSL40 back a couple of months ago under warranty.  The service was excellent: very prompt and they solved the problem, so no complains from me.
