Sorry I've not replied for a while - life here made it hard to say if I'd be able to join or not. Fortunately I am now available for the Dec 7th date, so I'll be happy to play bass where needed.

Great you can make it.

Have a look at the bass slots and let me know which ones you want. That includes where I've put myself down on bass in some places, as I'm happy to step aside.

Thanks, but I really don't mind. I've had a look through and all the songs look manageable to me, so just put me down where it'd be helpful to free you up to play some other part.

Just double checking. So are you also OK the following two, which are a bit tricky?

Mr Big - It has a bass solo
Queen Bitch : I find this tricky, but I created a bass chart for it if you need it.

Yep, happy to do those two. Don't expect the bass solo on Mr Big to be note for note accurate though!

That's fine. But of course, if anybody else fancies covering bass on *any* of the songs, just say - it'd be good to have a bit of variety.

Not wanting to pile too much on you @mart, but is there any chance you could do bass on Lil Devil? According to my records you've played it at a previous jam. Unless anyone else wants to do it.

That would just leave 'More Than A Feeling' and 'Space Oddity' without suffcient roles to play them.
 
Anyone can take roles (or share roles) on songs where I'm currently listed on guitar. I've put myself in guitar roles on a few as a fallback/placeholder.

We should probably drop More than a feeling though, if we don't have  drummer for it. Space Oddity would be ok without drums, but not More than a feeling.

I can strum along and do a bit of lead on Space Oddity to support @SPECTRUM001, if you're up for bass on it. We could get by without drums if necessary.

 @Brocco I think that means we're good for everything on the list except 'More Than A Feeling'.

I can drop out on any guitar roles that anyone else wants to take, once we know more about who wants to play on what regarding guitar.

So, full disclosure, I'm quite relieved that More Than A Feeling has been dropped. While it was my suggestion originally it was a moment of slightly drunken bravado and, in truth, I am absolutely incapable of doing the vocal justice so happy to dodge that bullet!!

@stratman3142 now that we have pretty much all roles covered it feels right to reduce the number of tracks I am down to play on (originally I put my name down to help fill out some of the thinly covered tracks):

Please remove me from Fortunate Son & Teenage Kicks, and if either @spark240 or @Bennyboy-uk are ok to play rhythm on Just What I Needed I could also come off that (but happy to stay on if they would both like a crack at lead). Please could you ink me in for rhythm on Molly's Chambers if there are no other takers?

Hello @Brocco I can have a crack at the can lead part on Just what I needed on one of the run throughs - and I was having a look at how to cover some of the synth parts with other bods doing the lead and rhythm so please stay in on that one matey!

I've removed you from 'Fortunate Son' and 'Teenage Kicks'. I've still pencilled you in for 'Just What I Needed' based on the comment above from @Bennyboy-UK ;;;

 I've inked you in for 'Molly's Chambers'.

As has been said before, we can chop and change as much as we like on the day, people can play on stuff they're not listed for. and we can do multiple run-throughs with different line-ups.

The main thing is to know we have the bare minimum set of roles to play a song.  Having said that, it would help a bit with planning if people say what they want to play on, even if there a multiple people down for a given role.

I've updated the spreadsheet and removed most of the colour coding, as all the songs listed have sufficient roles to at least get through them.

There are still some amber boxes for 2nd guitar roles if anyone want to jump in. Also, anyone can duplicate roles where they're already taken, as I expect we'll do multiple run-throughs as usual.

Regarding 'Come Together', just a reminder that I think we agreed to do the Gary Clark Jr live version. That version is in C# standard tuning, which @mart might need to be aware of as well. The original Beatles version is in D. Also, the studio version of Gary Clark Jr's is in D (but that's in D standard as far as I can tell). Are there any preferences for C# or D. I don't care because I'm going to be using the poly capo in my Helix

I've added myself on possible second guitar for 'Catch The Sun' if @SPECTRUM001 would like some support.
