Update, a few people have advised that I deal with these is smaller blocks so I'm going to group them, photograph them and then do exactly that.  A few have already gone (mainly by word of mouth) and some have been given away on the owners' instructions.

I was asked to help clean and setup some guitars that belonged to a local musician.  Sadly, while doing that, another musician that I used to be in a band with also passed away.   I’m now trying to help two ladies who know little about guitars but want them to go to good homes.

One guy kept his clean and immaculate, the other was a hard player. Here’s a selection -

1990’s Takamine Santa Fe
Taylor 410 e Ltd (Walnut, Ebony etc)
2007 Gibson J200 (Bozeman)
Epiphone AJ 220 solid top
Martin D10 Road Series
Epiphone J200
Epiphone J200 Parlour
Musicman JP6 with Piezo
Various Squier Tele’s & Strats
G&L Legacy tribute (early Korean with US parts)
Various old Gibson Lap Steel guitars
Larrivee P03 Parlour
Eastman 335
Epiphone Swingster
1980s Dobro resonator
1996 Gibson Les Paul New Century
1970’s Watkins Copicat tape echo
most are in good hard cases.
… plus another dozen or so cheap guitars

They are in West Yorkshire. I’m trying to collate pics and basic descriptions but please contact me with an email address and let me know what you’re interested in.

I currently have 2 boxes… but I’m asking around for more. Collection with a cuppa is always welcome though (obviously they won’t be wanting trades).

Finally - if you know any muso’s in genuine hard times who haven’t got a guitar to play, let me know.

    1990’s Takamine Santa Fe
I have a 1997 Takamine Limited Edition. The limited editions were basically a Santa Fe in a yearly limited run.

Apart from the obvious, checking the setup, check that the onboard preamp still works as they would usually die after a number of years. A new preamp is around £300.

The guitar, assuming good (undamaged) condition, will have a value of anywhere between £600 and £2,000. I have noticed over the past 10-15 years that used prices fluctuate widly.

Feel free to contact me here or via a PM if I can be of any further help with this guitar.

Nothing else in your list have I had any personal knowledge or experience of. Sorry.

Thank you, that’s appreciated. I have just found the correct case for it. I’ll give it some love and new strings and then get photographs. This one has the turquoise inlay at the 12th fret and the valve preamp. Everything needs checking though. Nice to know there is a knowledge base with an offer of help, thanks again

I don't know enough about any of these to offer useful advice or hazard a value, but conceivably I might be interested in one of the lap steels and/or the resonator guitar.

@Andy_Strings ;;;- this is indeed the right place, but we do require prices in all classifieds ads here.

Please update before this evening if you can, or I'm afraid we'll have to remove it (condolences notwithstanding...).

Any Reso's and lap steels are worth advertising on Micheal Messers website

I would keep it to 10 max or you will get lost off, if a couple sell top up to 10 with the next 2 .
Would Gardiner and Houlgate not be an option ? save you a lot of time ,hire a transit van 1 day turn around dropping them off .You will have fees to pay but would save you a lot of hassle.

Noted & thank you.  @mark123  has just advised keep it to 10 at once - and by the number of messages I've already had, that's good advice.  I'll get pics and details of the first 10 and when I get round to the steels and resonators, I'll drop you a message.
    Cheers.

Thank you.  I've taken on a bit much but bite sized chunks makes sense.

GH is a possibility but it's 200 miles from me and I'm busy.  I can do emails etc on a night.  There is also a huge discrepancy between the sale price and the payout (there's 20%+ on the hammer for the buyer and 20%+ off for the seller - I'd rather see buyer AND seller get the fairer price so I'll take your 10 Max advice, that makes perfect sense.  Cheers

This one has ... the valve preamp.
The valve preamp will be a replacement as they were not available in the '90s, I believe. I went that route, too, with mine. It should be working just fine and sound so much better plugged in through that preamp, which will help with the value.

Ah, more research needed then.  Next time I'm over, I'll get the serial and model number, I'm going on accumulated knowledge from various people.  Bloody lovely guitar though, plugged AND unplugged.
