After some octave up and down goodness, I’ve got a Strymon Ojai to power the board, just wondering if either are inherently noisy
these two openings are top of my list, but also open to other options, but not the TC Sub and Up, didn’t like that one too much.
Must be able to do the polyphonic thang

Cheers all!

OC5, simply because you can set it so that only bass frequencies are affected. As far as I know the POG can't do that.

Yeah the oc-5, I've had two (stupidly sold both, did replace with the Fascists Choice Octa Psi- it was used so don't stone me)
Pog's always leave me wanting more, sub'n'ups are bloody annoying

Line 6 HX One has really good polyphonic tracking. I only mine use for the whammy and polypitch to down tune so can't really vouch for the others, but it has an OC-2 in amongst the models it offers. Runs off a single 500mA and maybe worth adding to the list as an outsider

Micro POG is the best for me .  Had the OC5 but missed the funky organ vibe of the Micro POG.

Also had the Nano POG, but that wasn’t the same.

HX One is cool and the pitch stuff is good, but you can’t get 2 octaves plus dry like the POGs.

Cheers all, pretty much confirmed my thinking that the OC5 is the way to go, smaller footprint as well.

    lovely job

    I’ve had both.

    OC-5 every time.

Same here, way prefer the OC-5. The extra vintage mode with 2 octaves down is a nice bonus, as well as being able to isolate the lower note frequencies. Tracking is great as well.

I think it’s just me that prefers the Micro POG then!

The OC5 was a good pedal, it’s slightly more natural than the Micro POG, but I also found it a bit more subdued.

I liked the POG for really staccato organ type parts, but the OC5 doesn’t have the attack or presence to pull that off.  But it does sound more natural, more bass guitar like.  It blends in better for bass lines, the POG sounding fatter and more synth like.  The attack on the Micro POG has that hammond-like instant on thing, which I missed with the more polite OC-5.

I have an OC-5, I cant hear any additional noise either whilst on or in bypass. I like it but I use mine for a cky style sound, gain + oc2 mode.

I have giggled with this. Successfully. But I was more successful with a HX FX and the poly capo in combination with a super low crossover frequency to feed two chains - one bass and one guitar. Struggled to get the OC5 bass thing super clean with anything but careful 5th chords.

The vintage mode is SPOT ON my vintage OC-2. Instant 'Rocket' by Smashing Pumpkins

I seem tor remember years ago the POG being quite noisy, but maybe that was when using unregulated power supplies.

    good to know though, thanks
