I'd be quite happy to never see it again.

It’s not different to a thread in Electrics discussing the same thing!

I quite like the idea and the sound.  I would like to hear that on an electric solidbody through a compressor and overdrive pedal.

A female friend used to have one of  THESE  that worked really well, but you had to remove the G-String first.  It rotates quite fast at the fastest of the three available speeds.  She loved it, but the neighbours must have been concerned.  You can get a fairly convincing Flamenco Rasgueado effect on a nylon string with it, but it means dampening your strings.  :)

Well, I will admit I quite enjoyed the clip, not knowing what to expect ( a bit like Bill's clip then).
It was one of those things where it sounds good for one or two tunes at most .
I saw Bob Brozman many years ago using a Dobro for a full set - great for 2 tunes, but after a few more was wishing he would finish.

I hope the device is easily removable otherwise it's a waste of a very fine guitar.
      :)

Somehow it sounds remarkably like Ivor Cutler's harmonium in the video, I kept half expecting the voice to come in.

I quite like the sound  - as previously said, much like a Hurdy Gurdy. However, for very selective use only - which makes me worried if it is permanently attached to the guitar

It's a long time since I tried rubbing my belly in circles with one hand while patting my head with the other, and surprisingly I was able to do so using either hand, but when I tried to rub my (baldy) head and pat my (fat) belly it all fell apart and I realise I don't have the coordination I thought I had.  I wonder whether I could turn a wheel instead of using fingers or pick while fretting with the other hand?
