Any Latent Lemon Audio - Hurts users on here?

I got one off ebay and it seems to be acting strange - but I'm only going by youtube vids.

It's very noisy when you adjust the 'splutter' knob and anything between say 2 - 7 o'clock has a kind of a white noise.

here's it's just guitar (humbuckers) > into pedal > into amp

I'm assuming this isn't normal? any thoughts on what might be causing this?

should add I've tried it with a couple of guitars, a couple of power supplies, and both in and out of a chain.

I think that is a bias control and will cause that noise when turned. There are other pedals that do this too (one such I have come across is the @ThorpyFX Gunshot). AFAIK this is normal behaviour for these controls.

@Flanging_Fred thanks for that - yea I have a few pedals that make a bit of noise when the bias is adjusted. Just heard back from Justin at Latent and he's going to take a look at it for me... can't fault that for customer service.

i found that most HP circuits have an annoying white noise ish sound to them that is just there. I loved the sound of the Land Devices HP but it was so noisy in a grating way when not playing.  something that is a little gated gets around it but has issues too - interested in what he said

@dangriffiths Justin at Latent said he thinks its a stutter pot that's failed. There should be some noise as it's adjusting the bias but not that much... So off in the post today he kindly said he'll give it the once over for me. If there's any other updates I'll let you know. Cheers M

Just a quick update and shout out to Justin at Latent - I posted it back and it needed a couple of new pots. He gave it a once over and sent it back... boxed with all the stickers and bits! Super helpful and great customer service... ever thought I didn't buy it off him, I got it S/H off eBay.

I'm off to make noise...
