IMGUR now blocked in the UK?

Anyone else getting this issue.. It now says content not available in your region?

Sadly I think this has something to do with the ahhem "online safety" act...   When I go to look at a posted image, it also says not available in your region... Hmmm...

It's not available through a VPN either at the moment so might be an internal issue. Getting an 'over capacity' error when I try to access from "somewhere else".

edit: works on VPN now

i can confirm i don't see any of the images. i tried a US vpn and no luck there. somethings going on

I can see images fine with my VPN, tried with multiple countries and all fine (surfshark)

Tis a shame but people were seeing how far they could push it with "the gif" being uploaded a few times a week for example. If it's still out tomorrow then that might mean it's fooked

Well according to one of those posts someone actually contacted IMGUR and they said sorry we dont operate in your area anymore..    bummer..... Thats gonna screw up a lot of forum posts if its true.

I actually dont have a VPN but this link came up on Google.. Cant actually go to the site to see it though    perhaps someone with a VPN can go look

So, unless we have a VPN or go abroad, many of us now have Imgur accounts and photos we no longer have access to?

i have mullvad vpn and imgur works fine for me (have it set to germany atm).

i got vpn exactly because of the bs that the govt are pulling with the censorship etc (sorry protecting the children).

It looks like Postimage is going the same way, too - I can get into my account, but half the images show as blue blocks showing "503 Service unavailable - the server is temporarily busy, please try again later".

The others, where I can see the thumbnail, just won't open.

* edit * wrong - it just takes a couple of minutes to open from the thumbnail...
