Eventide Space v H90 v Blackhole plugin for the Blackhole sound

Hi, big fan of the Blackhole VST plugin. The small Blackhole pedal doesn't match 1:1 for some strange reason, I've poured a few hours into trying. (Before this comes back to haunt me, this is well documented by Eventide and it's not the same - I'm also looking specifically for the quality and vastness and overtones that the plugin offers, that sadly the standalone pedal does not.)

Was wondering if the Space pedal gets closer (somewhat unhelpfully less documented by Eventide!)? I would like to think the H90 gets closer, but it's a lot of money.

Anyone with any experience and non-biassed thoughts?

My ultimate wish would be a full fat Blackhole pedal with the resolution of the plugin, and why not go further and do the Blackhole Immersive plugin in pedal format at this point. Appreciate that it's niche, but would love a hardware version of the OG and Immersive plugins.

I don't have an H90 any more, but I did like the Blackhole (and everything else about the H90, TBH) and I did use the plugin, too. Surely they'll never sound identical because the processors, A/D/A convertors and most of the signal chain will be different? I must confess I never tried for 1-2-1 parity between the two, but I wouldn't have expected it, either.

FWIW, I don't have the H90 any more because I'm now almost 100% an acoustic player/performer and dismantled my large band pedalboard. Now it's just a Zoom MS-CDR70+ and a Ditto! :-) Or a T-Rex Soulmate Acoustic...

It's been a while since I used the VST, but from memory; the H90 is def. slightly clearer and more Hi Fi. My favourite use of Blackhole is cranking the first three controls and tremolo picking. Post Rock kinda thing. On the H90, even with the mix at 100%, you can hear the guitar/dry a bit more. The H9 and the plug in are a tad more murky and smeared, which I actually prefer. Can't say re; the Space as I've never used one.

All that to say; IME, the VST and the H9 are closest, but I can't speak of the Space. The H90 is a different animal.
