London guitar show

Anyone going to the Kempton Park guitar show on October 25th? I've never been so don't know what to expect.

I went a couple of years ago with my brother. It’s quite a big show. We enjoyed it. There were a lot of small independent makers there. It was well worth the trip.

Probably - it's a good show, I think the largest in the uk, with stuff downstairs (typically larger vendors) and upstairs. Bloody noisy. And I wouldn't call the venue 'London'

I thought the Birmingham show in Feb/March is the largest?
    Karma......

It's an annual fixture for me.
Note to self: do not just buy another odd part (eg. a neck or a body) with a view to starting a project around it!

I'd be tempted, haven't been to a show in a great many years. 1 hour drive is doable but I get hit for ULEZ, presumably congestion charge + ticket and no doubt extortionate parking charge. I think I might be talking myself out of it ...

It seems to be advertised as the International London Guitar Show...

  • What sort of grub and drinks are on offer there?

Also is it a dip in and out sort of thing?

Last year there was a food truck outside that seemed better than the stuff that was on offer upstairs in the bar area - certainly cheaper.

Train journeys will take a bit longer than expected as the journey switches to rail replacement bus at New Malden

Indeed Sunbury is just in Surrey, was "meant" to be part of Greater London but it didn't happen. Anyway, I was interested but £15 for the privilege of being able to buy stuff? Hmm.
