That's a shame, I just bought a pedal to nail Alive properly. 

Understand the reasoning though, and this is basically what I meant when I asked if it was worth having the chat. 3hr round trip for me as well. 

Forgetting the spreadsheet for a moment we should probably take stock of what we definitely have capability of doing on the day and if anyone isn't 100% I say we postpone and wait for everyone to get their mojos back. 

Probably not a stretch to say we don't need a second room now I reckon!

Ive got the intro, verse and chorus bits sorted, but theres lots of complex fills and a 7/8 interlude to work on - so a fair bit more work to do. 

But as theres no full line up for Alive currently - Im pulling out of this jam - its a pity, but Im looking for events like the Bristol jam where theres more songs to play on and people happy to cover vocals to ensure songs have full line ups. Theres only one song that currently has a full line up (Crossroads) with two weeks to go. Yep, that's fair enough.

The vocals do seem to be the sticking point (understandable). Would be great to find one or two people who are confident enough to do the whole lot.

I'm still happy to turn up and play drums for a few hours. I'm also happy to postpone and keep practice ticking over until we get a full complement.

Perhaps the people that are still down to come should have a vote.

Plus the people that would come if we postpone it a month or something could chime in to see if postponing it actually helps anyone/anything. 


I vote to postpone, but if it still goes ahead I will still come. I'm sort of 51% postpone just because I'd rather more people attended...

I guess it depends on if there’s people that fill the vocal  roles if you postpone a month. If not you might as well go ahead with current plans.

I personally vote postpone but only because I haven't made the time to learn the tunes I put myself down for but if goes ahead I rock up and play.

Moving forward I will be happy to help fill out any songs I might not know or like so we can all be more involved. Might even attempt to sing something that's within my half-octave range if I am not playing on it.
