Riff of the Month (RotM) #93 Challenge

This is the 93rd Riff of the Month (RotM) Challenge.

The challenge is now open, and remains open for submissions until midnight on 24th December 2025.

All you have to do is ...

Write a riff. It could be anything from a single RAW guitar track to a full mix of instruments or a Bass guitar riff. However, the focus must be on the riff. Most entries will probably be guitar based riffs, but they don't have to be.

This is about riffs, not songs. As an aim, to keep it to a maximum of 50 seconds (although I don't know why I bother with that request )

Include your forum name in the email.

NB. There's a chance that I might use some entries as backing tracks for future solo of the month entries. Let me know if you'd prefer not.

Voting will start soon after the submission deadline, with each voter selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.

First choice gets 5 points - Second choice gets 3 points - Third choice gets 1 point. The order and scores of the top three entries will be announced soon after the voting ends. 

No prizes. It's just for fun.

I've sent one in

I was messing around with some synthwave samples I got free with my Tonex One and decided to add a bit of 80s hairy guitar because why not...?

Thought I'd break out some keys for this this one. Found a nice patch in Surge synth, and doodled around for a bit. Added a main guitar motif, and then another guitar for the outro. 

The title was inspired by a free association style trip through the wiki from a starting point that the riff put me in mind of.

Anyway, there it is for your enjoyment, or otherwise Argonauts of the Western Pacific.

I think there's definitely "more than a feeling" of residents from an  East Coast city between New York and Portland looking out to the Atlantic
