Best software for capturing HDV

I used to be very up to date about this in the late 90s

When HDV came out, I bought a nice Canon HDV (miniDV tape) camera

Now I have lots of tapes, and it occurs to me I should capture them all to disk on my PC
I have a firewire input, and plent yof CPU amd RAM

Any reasonable software packages that are good value? I am not looking to loads of flashy editing

The Pinnacle Studio stuff is very good as is the Sony stuff and they have a few different price points.

The Pinnacle software has a lot of good pluigns as standard for titling, text, adding sounds, creating DVD's and the like.

Semi pro Adobe Premiere or the Avid stuff, pricey and have a learning curve.
