From the reviews he's clearly a competent pickup builder. I'll leave it there!

I sent a stronger message today, reminding them that we had been corresponding for a week and I still had nothing in terms of updates and asked for a commitment to confirm that my order had actually been dropped off with RM - by tomorrow.

An hour or so later RM sent me a message confirming the parcel was now dropped off at Shed's local post office. A little later Shed confirmed the pickups were "stuck in the sorting office…But they're now on their way". I believe the sorting office is actually Sheds "to post" pile! I don't appreciate the lack of candour in their comms, but pleased they are on their way now. HA59's if anyone cares!

Not great correspondence, but ive known about that guy since 2008 (I think). Bit of a local legend and used to make the pickups for Dave Dearnaley before he made his own, who is a another Welsh wizard... Id say hes a great player too, but every jam night he'd play a whiteguard replica and teles are shit.

Now that I've had these in my LP for a few days, and the bad vibes from the shipping BS have diminished, I have to admit they are very nice pickups. Power wise and in their ability to drive an amp they are very similar to the BB1 and BB2 that were in the guitar previously. But the neck pup in particular has much more top end. Took a bit of getting used to, and they reward a player who appreciates that pots don't need to be on 10. But now that I've had a few days with them I am very happy.

I bought an original pair of Supernaturals directly from Spencer many years ago. I had a couple of queries on the out-of-phase sounds and he invited me to bring my guitar to him and he’d check it over. So I saw the original “shed” where they were being made - he adjusted pickup heights and pole pieces to suit my playing and the guitar and even rewired the LP to 50s wiring for me. He charged me nothing for the service. He was a top bloke that was clearly passionate about everything he was doing. I’m not sighted on some of the problems referenced earlier but that level of passion and dedication is always difficult to maintain when rapidly scaling - and may actually prohibit it - glad he has some extra help now though it may be they need a little
    more?
