Ah... The old "UK Tour" that doesn't involve going to anywhere other than England. Looks like I'll have to wait until they are playing the SSE Hydro or have binned AdP and started a new project under a different name

Dates at London, Bristol & Leeds so hardly a major England tour either  ;)

Apparently they insisted on Leeds first because the Macc Lads were a major musical influence and that was the closest available venue

The Macc Lads? Is that a genuine reference?
I listened to them a lot when I were a young 'un but would never have associated them with AdP!

Yes. Most of the seemingly crude Northern smut lyrics were actually incredibly clever phonetic references to French literature and philosophy which made them incredibly popular within the Avant Garde jazz clubs of French speaking Canada....

It's a shame the tickets all sold out, I heard they were going to play Beer & Sex & Chips 'n' Gravy in its entirety.

They are going to be playing the Voltaire-inspired classic Swet é Beté

Since I heard them, I was fascinated on how the guitarist/bassist got to play his pre-written riffs using a microtonal guitar with no markers. But on this reel, I can see that he's got red and green dots on the top of his fretboard for both the bass and the guitar. I wonder what system he's using? Red for diatonic, green for the quarter notes? Fascinating.

Fender swooping in quickly to sign up Khn de Poitrine for an endorsement deal. Missing the 3-a-side headstock and microtonal frets
