I had no idea until i saw the hilarious Danny Sapko youtube short (What Makes This Bass Line so Hard) - and he pulls it off.

The ascending scale run bit - it's a tricky section with fingerstyle at pace - but I'm determined to nail it without using a pick or hammer on's!

What makes this bass line so hard?

I was surprised to find that people thought it was a difficult run. It's no more challenging than the main bit of "Sir Duke" or the intro to "Highway Star" or something like that. Or maybe it's just because I spent my early bass playing life desperately trying to be Billy Sheehan?

Loved Danny's commants about the err, members of Led Zepp though! :D

He doesn't hold back, does he? He does a great job on the bassline imo.
