Convert pdf files to guitar tab - latest thoughts

What is your current thoughts on converting pdf's to guitar tab. Have used Musescore in the past but so many issues and contacting support seems impossible.

I assume that you're starting with a pdf of notation?

In which case I use tabledit - it has a feature to import an image that it converts to tab. Not 100% perfect as some will need some manual cleanup.
