FS - Bad Cat Black Cat £1100 Collected - Edinburgh - Drop

For sale -

My mint condition Bad Cat Black Cat amplifier. Favourite amp I've owned but have a house move to pay for so I can always get another one at some point. I've also been in a flat the last 2 years so playing it at any volume has scarecly been an option.

Small, not mad heavy, really loud in a nice room-filling way, sort of like a cross between Bad Cat's AC take and a Fender combo - the EQ is very powerful and mixing the tone and volume controls you can get a nice mid-focused thing, or adjust them and get a lovely scooped blackface tone. The cleans are absolutely lush. Plenty of gain for anything rock but takes pedals like a champ if you want to give it a kick. The trem is lush too. It's really a very, very nice grab and go combo - small board with my fave pedals and I can get every tone I'd want from it.

£1200 - £1100 collected from Edinburgh or near to. No trades unfortunately.

Henning's demo gives a great rundown -

"The new Black Cat features two unique channels with bias-modulated tremolo and studio quality reverb. Channel 1, a more traditional Black Cat sound, is bright and clear without being harsh. Highly responsive and complex in midrange character, it delivers the sound you know and expect from this amplifier design. Channel 2 has all of the complexity and chime of channel one but with plenty of gain on tap, while preserving our signature string-to-string note definition."

Now, interesting you should ask so will attach a photo which shows it best. I've not had my head in the back of the amp previously but when looking now they do seem to have this orange coating on both and not certain if that's by design. Excuse the mark where it looks like someone has smudged it with there finger as than was me smudging it with my finger. The rest of the cab is pristine and it's barely been outside....

Paging forum hero @ICBM - is this normal do you know by any chance?

Thanks Dan. I know the earlier ones had orange transformers then they moved to silver. Perhaps this is a transitional one :)
They are great amps, unfortunately you are a bit far for me.
