They have not used any channels other than their own website, as far as I am aware. That approach has not been a success thus far, so I am waiting to hear from them what other ideas they may have. I may take it elsewhere, but will not be able to do so for a while so wondered whether the suggested approach might help in the meantime.

I wasn't sure, and felt it could be considered a borderline case of fair use. I'd be promoting my instrument for sale, not the dealer standing to make a commission fee, so it'd be for my benefit just like any other private sale classified ad... the difference being that I'd be paying a commission for someone else to handle the logistics.
Anyhow, no worries.. I'm glad I asked. Thanks for all your responses!
