Routed for a switch on the lower bout..

Guard's on. Made to booboo with one of the holes but this is only a template.

The wiring needs a little attention. The tone pot does very little. It's more of an on/off knob atm for some reason. Also, if the neck is on 10 it acts little a treble cut for the bridge pickup. Not sure why that is. If I roll the neck vol back a smidge I get the bridge pup wide open - weird!

Now to decide on a colour... Needs to be solid to cover the patchwork around the neck pickup...

Wow this is coming along nicely. Great work.

    I vote for cream!

Or green over black reliced as a suggestion.

Thanks matey! Yeah I was leaning towards inca silver but since mocking up olly white I think I prefer that.

I think the wiring issue might be down to the poles on the switch. After playing it last night and trying to understand the issue I found that the middle and bridge positions were including both pickups. So hopefully a tweak of the poles will fix the issue.

With an aged nickel pickguard to match the pickup surrounds:

I rather like the silver - the overall shape combined with the metal surrounds and knob setup give me a 50s space age vibe.

Or maybe a race car look? Black with silver racing stripes, or dark blue and white?

Y'see... a Firebird only looks cool in red in my world (because Roxy Music). And red guitars go faster... <stance>

Yep - looks good. There's something about the slightly distressed metal that goes well with that shade of blue

    Looks good!

Some folks OCD will make the difference in size between the Tele bridge and the neck pickup surround an unbearable travesty, but although I noticed it, I am not bovvered...

Harley Benton do 72 Tele style knobs.  The ones with the numbers the wrong way round have a grub screw.  The ones with the numbers the right way round are push on.  About this, I am bovvered...

Doesn't bother me either, but that is one of the reasons I did the P90 route because the P90 is a better width match. If truth be told, my tram lines are probably 5mm too narrow, but there you go. It's just a bit of a fun project for me tbh. I might even go back to tele bridge but we'll see how it pans out.
