Ever played with your shirt off?

I think I have picked up a guitar occasionally on a hot day when wandering around the house sans top, and yeuch!!! Feels horrible. I'm surprised that anyone wants to play like that, even if it's really hot, in which case the guitar probably sticks to your skin. 

Helps if you have a Phil Collen body I guess. And there's something primal about it if that's your thing. Its not a look I like to be honest. Needless to say, my bod is not one to show off. 

Anyone done it, or have an opinion on that sort of thing?

And a bonus point for the first person to recognise the middle guitarist. A band I was obsessed with back in the early 80s!

No but my lanky, ectomorphic build has always looked better with a shirt on.  Gaining a few extra lbs later in life hasn't improved things, so there's no temptation to take it off.

I did play bass in a band with a guitarist whose upper physique was definitely his best feature.  I can't remember if he ever went on stage completely sans shirt, but he always seemed to be wandering around and popping in and out of dressing rooms without one on, something no other band member ever did.

That sounds a bit Human Centipede...

I did once buy some kind of compression T-Shirt when I had to wear a suit and thought it wasn't going to fit.  It was very uncomfortable and seemed to make my torso an even worse shape than it was already.

very gauche move imo. even playing boneheaded rock n roll it's good to bring some class to the occasion. not everybody is iggy pop.

I walked out and walked home from cubs as a child once (20 minute walk ish) because my team lost the coin toss ahead of a football game, where the toss was to decide which team wore tops and which didn't... My attitude towards it is much the same now and has always been. I used to swim 5 times a week as a teenager and used to wear a tshirt and shorts or tracksuit after getting changed and waiting to start the training lol
