FS Black Sire V3 Jazz Bass (Marcus Miller Range) - Active/Passive Preamp/Upgrades

Good condition and versatile Jazz bass that punches well above its' price point and I, as do many other people/reviewers really rate these as for the price of a Squier CV, you get a helluva lot more.

Tone Controls and Preamp:- 18v (2 x 9V batteries) -  the powerful active preamp really opens up the bass to offer you a good bunch of sounds for fine EQ adjustment and it's also no slouch in passive mode. Between the 2 modes, you can get a good array of vintage and modern sounds and there's a switch that allows you to flick from Passive to Active mode - should you have a flat battery, the bass will still work, but in passive mode. Body: - Mahogany which adds some nice resonance, but it's also light coming in at just under 8lbs (12lbs with the case and 14lbs if boxed). It also came with a bolt on ashtray that has never been used and will be included.
Neck - bolt-on Canadian Hard Maple neck and a rosewood board with added Luminlay side dots*

Upgrades: - I replaced the tuners with Gotohs and these are lighter and have better gearing and I also had Luminlay Dots* professionally installed by Jon Dickinson at Antenna Music, Crystal Palace

Case: - There is a proprietary Sire Marcus Case that's semi-hard - the shell of the case is fine, as is the handle on the side, however, the back straps are fraying and ready to go

There are 2 small dings on the underside of a couple of a centimetres that go through the paint to the wood, otherwise, the bass is extremely clean and looks great all in black and I've owned it from new.
Reason for sale - upgraded to a Bass Collection Betsy plus I already have a Sire V7 as my spare

Price PPG is £270 collection from Wallington, Surrey (near Croydon, Epsom) and I have a box and so I'm willing to post, but the buyer arranges and covers courier, insurance and posting costs
