Does anyone have recommendations for something small to put vocals, maybe keys, maybe some backing tracks through for home practice? Partly when people come over to play, but also I've been trying to practice backing vocals, and do alright acoustically but the step up to using a mic often throws me.

So yeah, what do y'all use?

For ad-hoc practices, I use a little Yamaha MG mixer for the mics, keys, iPads. Etc. with one of our 12” tops

Probably overkill, but I've got a pair of Yamaha DXR12's (mk1) here surplus to requirements.  Also an Alto TS210.

Open to offers (but you'd need a mixer).

    Collection from St Helens.

Yep, definitely overkill at the moment, but thanks.

I did have a Yamaha mixer for years actually, sat there gathering dust so I donated it to a friend who's actually using it. It was only something like 12 channels (of which maybe 6 xlr) but still too bulky to get any use here.

I use either Bose Si pro or my AER compact, but would recommend you have a look for a secondhand acoustic amp,and if necessary a small mixer

I hadn't considered an acoustic amp, that's not a bad idea at all. Today I bodged it by plugging two mics into my Hot Rod Deluxe, which was OK, but less than ideal really.
