Picked up a guitar today (not a Rickenbacker!) and it was in this (Dulux-tastic) case:

Any idea re. age/notional guitar model this would have contained?

First thought was that it was a 4005... you'll know why . But it's not long enough.

Given the greater depth than a standard 330/360 case, I think it's for a 381. It looks like a 60s one from the lining and lack of internal box, and since the 381 wasn't introduced until 1969 it would probably have to be from then.
