Don’t really have choccy bars now, ice cream is my vice. I do like those Flipz chocolate pretzels tho.

Old Jamaica back in the day, best choccy bar ever.

Reissued in B+M stores as bournville old jamaica !

Yorkie Biscuit & Brownie Duo currently (turquiose foil). I too love a Star Bar.

Infrequent partaker theses days as another Type 2 sufferer.

Old Jamaica is still the one.

However Riasin & Biscuit Yorkie (purple one mentioned ^^^^) or a Boost are excellent.

I do take 2 squares of Lindt 85% a day for purely medicinal purposes ;)
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

I'm surprised so many people are mentioning Yorkie, I thought it was only for truck drivers.

This. The ultimate chocolate bar. None of your mere 85% stuff... :)

Yes, I know most people won't like it - although it has a slightly fruity taste, not quite as uncompromisingly bitter as you might expect.

There's another version which is also 100%, but tastes noticeably different - this one is slightly more bitter and less fruity.

I like a 99% Lindt.. once it goes past 95,% it gets citrus fruity and sweet again rather than bitter.  I dislike anything 75-95%

    Have to try that 100%

Milka is the superior chocolate, followed by Galaxy. Cadbury Dairy Milk and its derivatives are rubbish these days. Don't know if they changed the recipe or something.

Right now most chocolate has been ruined by the use of too much palm oil and too little cocoa

Cadburys seem particularly bad and Nestle have ruined all the chocolates they inherited from Rowntree MacIntosh (kitKat, Rolo etc)

Some supermarket own label can be far better  for some reason , and I do like some of the Ritter Sport bars
Aldi do some chocolate that is really good - the dark choc with hazelnuts is sublime

We've switched to Tony's for both that reason (their milk chocolate has 5 ingredients which is the absolute maximum there should be), and there's some ongoing concern over slavery in the Cadburys supply chain while Tony's guarantee theirs as slavery free

Greene & Blacks are good.. and Morrisons do a nice 72% that I suspect is made by Lindt.

Some of the Lidl and Aldi ones also have that creamy European taste too.

Picnic is steady goto, but I do miss the Cadbury's Fuse, which was basically the factory floor sweepings mixed into chocolate. Also liking the Lindt 85% black with my elevensies coffee.

Have to agree on the standard of Cadbury's going down since the American's took over. The mouth feel is all wrong. And only putting 5 creme eggs into a box is shit. Eggs come in units of 6.

I agree. In fact I hate them, horrible disgusting things. But none the less they must come in boxes of 6.
