JXG flametop Custom for sale.

Handmade by John X Gill of JXG Guitars in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2009 and based on later 50's Les Pauls with some Zematis style touches too. Very reluctant sale but c'est la vie.



Spec:

Old growth chambered (with centre block ala 335) Honduras mahogany body
Brazilian rosewood neck
6105 Gauge frets
Bone nut
Tonepros Kluson tuners
Tonepros locking ABR bridge
Faber lightweight stoptail
Flamed maple 2 piece top

WCR Fillmore PAF clones, beautiful PAF humbuckers with that Duane 'n' Dickey vibe.
Shugzloomz wire kit consisting of high spec TVT CTS 500k pots and Shugz brand paper in oil caps
Plastics either Gibson Historic, Fatboy or DMC vintage repros.

Guitar is fully finished in thin nitro cellulose, non aged. Other features include neck carve modelled on a lovely '52 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop. 'Belly' carve of body also based on the more pronounced later 50's Les Paul sunburst guitars. The finish was inspired by the famous Keefburst Les Paul Standard.

Guitar weighs a non back breaking 7 and 3/4lbs and comes with fitted Hiscox case. Generally excellent condition barring general use marks etc. I have many build pics and fully finished pics as well. I also have a link to some live YouTube footage of the guitar too. Fully setup and gig ready.

£2150, trades/ part exs and near offers considered as well. Guitar located Glasgow West End but can travel, meet, post etc if required too. Any more info just let me know.
