Rhyming slang

What's Hot
octatonicoctatonic Frets: 34307
Post me some of the more unusual rhyming slang examples- or make some up.

I have some friends coming over from Oz in a couple of months and I want to be able to pepper my conversation with many obscure bits of rhyming slang and pretend as though everyone talks like that here.

An old workmate used to make up his own, but all I can remember is Harold Wilsons = Stilsons. A Stilson Wrench is a kind of heavy duty pipe spanner, might be a bit difficult to smuggle that into the conversation. Sorry :-/

You should make an effort to use the truncated versions too..

Boat - as in Boat Race - as in face.
China - as in china plate - as in mate

There is of course a googling that could have helped... first link http://www.cockneyrhymingslang.co.uk/

More important than rhyming slang is to teach the useless rhyming slang.

Go up the apple and stairs, across the frog and road, use the dog and phone, have a ruby curry, drive in your jam car, buy a carton of Acker Milk. Go on, it's a real Turkish Laugh.
A sig-nat-eur? What am I meant to use this for ffs?! Is this thing recording?

    My personal fave:

James, as in James Blunt - Singer/Songwriter

On a real level, I was once told  by a London cabbie
"It's bleedin' taters out there" on a particularly chilly evening. I didn't have the bottle to ask, but after years of puzzling, I can only surmise it is something like 'mince and taters - refrigerators'. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If the truncated slang term rhymes with the thing it's slang for you are very definitely doing it wrong.
