Tried one today down at Andertons. Indeed, they are very good amps for home use.

Surprisingly so - I have recently had similar amps from Carr and  Swart which were both great but not up to the Falcon.

Out of interest, which Carr are you comparing it with?

I have had  Mercury and a Rambler. 

For home use much better than the Mercury IMHO. 

Wouldn't really compare with the Rambler as it is a different beast really - A great clean amp that can be giigged or used at home. However I am lucky enough to have a vintage vibrolux that sounds even better than a rambler..

Mate, if I may say so, that's a poor response to put into someone's selling thread...

Also, is it true ? Ive bought 2 of these from Coda new, and I believe I can get very good deals there, but not a grand for a Falcon... Just saying'...

And while I'm having a self righteous moan, I was ready for a scrap when Jim said "better than a Carr...!"

Then, he compared it to the Mercury, which is in very similar territory !

The truth is, the Falcon s a very very good, fun amp. Incredible really, and I think its design is pretty unique... And I wonder if the new Carr Skylark was heavily influenced by it...

@frankyknuckles - where can these be bought new for 1000? Please share with the rest of us

My research can only find them at 1349, meaning this one is a bargain 25% less than new
