I dont listen to too much R1, but even I knew Zane and liked him.
Tis a real shame...

I respect his knowledge and genuine enthusiasm, but he is a little embarrassing to listen to.

Really funny with excellent music.
I quite like Zane Lowe as well. Too bad Apple will suck the life out of him.
On the Glasto coverage he always seems a bit too in love with himself first and foremost.
Feedback
He seems to be someone who likes every piece of garbage music that's put in front of him-never heard him say he didn't like anything, ever...Which to me is pretty false, and not really a good promoter/plugger of new music if you can't balance the good and the bad, he was more like marketing/advertisment for music, which if I remember was kind of his role?

Talks utter bollocks about utter bollocks music.
But then again Radio 1 is the station for the young uneducated moronic youth of today and they thrive off of it.
Though I'd still prefer him over that total twat Grimshaw.
There's things I've had, there's things I wanna have"
I don't mind him, bit over the top sometimes but he often plays good rock and alternative bands you'd never normally hear on R1 peak hours...not to mention good pop music too.
He's done well for himself through his own efforts and talent, as far as I can see, so good on him for taking the next step up the ladder.

It's going to be a pretty big pair of shoes to step in to.
